Please consider donating the items listed below to help those in need. The drop off bin for these items is in the entranceway on Sunday morning. Donations may also be brought to the church office during regular office hours – Monday to Thursday (9 am to Noon). Thank you for your support!
1. Milk Bags: The outer bag that contains the 3 bags of milk needs to be dry but does not need to be washed. The bags are cut into strips, looped into chains, and then woven into bed mats. The mats are sent to developing countries through Canadian Food for Children.
2. Empty Prescription Pill Bottles with Lids: Labels NEED to be removed, or information blacked out. These go to Doctors Without Borders who buy medication in bulk and dispense it in these reused pill bottles.
3. Plastic Tabs: Tabs from bread, baked goods and milk are melted down and the plastic is used in 3-D printing.
4. Eyeglasses and Eyeglass Cases: These are distributed by the Lions Club, mostly in the Caribbean.
5. Postage Stamps: Used stamps need to be cut from the envelope with a border of 1/4” paper around the stamp. Stamps are sold by weight. The funds go to Canadian Food for Children or to the Leprosy Foundation.
6. Aluminum Pop Tabs: The tabs are sold by weight. The funds are used to purchase wheelchairs.
