We are saddened to share this news with you, that the Aurora YMCA Nursery School will be closing its doors at the end of June. For the past 38 years, beginning in Hunter Hall in the former Aurora United Church building, the teachers and leadere have been welcoming children and their families. Many of your children attended this program through the years. We are thankful that we had the opportunity to continue AUC's relationship with Meilssa and Kim after the fire when they found a new home at Trinity Anglican Church. We have spoken with Melissa and Kim about at time to acknowledge the last three decades sometime in the fall, to celebrate and say thank you. Please watch this space for updates.
Here is the letter we received from Melissa and Kim:
It is with profound sadness that we announce the closure of the Aurora YMCA Nursery School. For over 30 years, our nursery school has been a beacon of warmth, education, and love in our community. We have witnessed countless children take their first steps into the world of learning within our walls, guided by us and surrounded by our nurturing environment.
None of this would have been possible without the continuous support from each and every one of you. From the parents entrusting us with the care and education of their precious little ones to the volunteers and local businesses who selflessly offered their time and resources, your collective contribution has been the cornerstone of our success.
Together, we have created a vibrant community where children have flourished, friendships have blossomed, and lasting memories have been made. Though our physical doors may be closing, the impact of the Aurora YMCA Nursery School will endure in the hearts and minds of all those who have been touched by its magic.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to each and every member of our community and all those who have supported us along this remarkable journey. Your kindness, generosity, and unwavering dedication have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and for that, we will be forever grateful.
With deepest appreciation and fondest regards,
