We encourage our members to consider using the PAR program to send your offering through automatic debit. This allows the opportunity to give intentionally and faithfully once a month to the church even when you are not able to be there in person. This helps to provide our church with a dependable flow of contributions, and allows for an easier budget process. Please contact Suzanne (info@auroraunitedchurch.ca) at the AUC office for information on how you can sign up for PAR.
E-transfers have been made easier for you. We are now set up for Autodeposit. You can simply send your e-transfer to e-t@auroraunitedchurch.ca and your funds will automatically be deposited to the church bank account.
Please put your full name, email and mailing address in the message line if you are a new donor to Aurora United Church - for income tax receipt purposes.
Log into your online or mobile banking app. Using the e-transfer option, select or add as the recipient and the amount to send.
Your account information stays protected. No longer a need for a fact-finding question. You will receive an e-mail back from your bank that your funds have been deposited. Please indicate in the message line where you would like your funds allocated.
You are able to make one-time gifts OR set up regular monthly donations (processed on the day of the month you choose) by using our online partner Canada Helps. Click HERE for the Canada Helps link.
Placing an offering envelope on the collection plate is a wonderful opportunity to embody generosity in our weekly worship. Using offering envelopes also ensures that we can identify your givings and issue a tax receipt. To request offering envelopes or for more information, please contact the church office.
Aurora United Church, a cornerstone of the Aurora community for more than 200 years, at the corner of Yonge and Tyler Streets in Aurora, suffered a devastating blow in April 2014, when it was completely destroyed by fire. The journey to rebuild this beloved institution has been a challenging one, marked by numerous hurdles including insurance settlements, legal battles, the disruptive impact of Covid-19, and unprecedented increases in building material costs. Despite these obstacles, the spirit of resilience and determination has fueled our efforts to rebuild our beloved Church.
Following the devastating fire that consumed the heart of Aurora's spiritual and community life, Aurora United Church (AUC) proudly announced the official launch of its transformative Capital Campaign, aptly named "Aurora United Church Rising From The Ashes." This campaign marks a significant step forward in the journey to rebuild the church, both in structure and spirit.
AUC has also partnered with Amica Senior Lifestyles in leasing a portion of the land to them to build a seniors residence in downtown Aurora.
Donations to the Rising From The Ashes Capital Campaign may be made through cheque, e-transfer or Canada Helps. Please see information above for e-transfer and Canada Helps.
You may make a donation in memory or in honour of someone: Aurora United will notify the family of your donation.
A bequest in one’s will: A bequest may be made for a specific amount, a percentage of one’s estate or the residue of the estate.
An Annuity: A United Church Gift Annuity provides an income for life, a charitable tax receipt and a gift to the congregation beyond one’s lifetime.
Stocks: There is no capital gains of appreciated stocks that are contributed to a registered charity. The donor receives a charitable tax receipt for the full amount of the gift and is not required to pay any capital gains tax that may be applicable on the sale of the shares.
